Parts Manager

The Parts Manager plays a very important role in the satisfaction of our customers. You control the operational efficiency of the parts department and to CSI results by ensuring customer satisfaction, maximizing parts sales and minimizing obsolescence while maintaining strict controls to provide a balanced inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing customers with an unmatched ownership experience at every turn
  • Manage and supervise parts department operations
  • Maintain effective and efficient inventory levels
  • Monitor obsolescence and monthly returns
  • Review and evaluate new items for stock
  • Analyze personnel expenses
  • Ensure that all department members receive parts technical training and product knowledge is current
  • Prepare sales forecast for parts and accessories
  • Analyze wholesale market potential
  • Establish market driven pricing policies
  • Maintain current price lists and literature for specifying and billing of parts
  • Analyze financial results and objectives and develop corrective action if required
  • Maintain and analyze daily operating controls
  • Coordinate merchandising promotional efforts with the Service Manager
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Maintain liaison between wholesale customers and MBC
  • Trace wholesale trends and competition
  • Simulate additional wholesale business and larger accounts
  • Sales and merchandise management
  • Progressive disciplinary action as necessary
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior parts advisor role in an automotive dealership
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive results
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • In depth knowledge of parts inventory and business management
  • The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Computer skills
  • Lifting requirements
